RMHC’s Executive Director Tom Soma walked away as the inaugural champion at the Best Buns and Brunch on Sunday, a cinnamon bun baking contest hosted by Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Emceed by KGW’s Drew Carney, the competition featured Dave Dahl from Dave’s Killer Bread, Anjali Wynkoop of Le Cordon Bleu, and Dax Erickson and Roy Chan from the Multnomah Athletic Club. The sold-out audience enjoyed a lavish brunch, before taking part in a blind taste test to name RMHC’s “Best Buns Champion”. The even raised $5,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
